Merrion Sq Diptych

The many Gerogian buildings surrounding this area date from mid 1700's and are surrounded by a beautiful park. The poet W. B. Yeats lived at No 82 Merrion Square., This doorway is number 86 Merrion Sq so he may have kicked ball against these doors or sat on these steps as he scribbled his poems. Yeats poetry was a big part of the english course at school but no one ever mentioned his brother Jack B Yeats an amazing artist who deserved some of the limelight. I am sure his art has inspired many artists/ photographers. My favourite painting is 'Liffey Swim'
I took these two images with the Holga early one morning on the way to work. There is a slight distortion from an uneven negative accidental but alwys welcome with the Holga. I used Neopan 400 with Rodinal.
