![]() Another image from Sandycove, time to get these onto some photographic paper as soon as I get back into the darkroom. In the meantime the story has not changed. Sandycove Dublin on a recent early Sunday afternoon with an unusually high tide on a bright sunny November day. Some amazing high white waves hitting the famous Forty Foot, a wonderful sight that I have never experienced here before. I only had the Holga with me which may have been another piece of good luck as both of us got a good soaking on anumber of occasions. At €25 you take risks with the Holga that you wont take with the Hasselblad. I used Fuji Acros 100 and had an ND filter stuck to the front of the Holga for some long exposures. The Acros Film was rated at 50asa and developed in Rodinal 1+50. As it was a bright sunny day there were lots of visitors around, Sandycove and the Forty Foot is associated with the writer James Joyce and is a major Dublin tourist attraction. On this occasion they got some free laughs as this photogrpher with his cheap plastic camera and tripod took a good soaking for his art. | |
